Were you like me, someone who was afraid of Artificial Intelligence and fearful for what it might do in the future? I sure was, I was a hater! I am old enough to have seen that old movie by Will Smith called “I Robot!” If you have seen the movie robots are developed and then began to overtake their builders the humans. They invade the World, well New York City anyway. I know I would never want to live in New York City nothing good seems to happen there in the movies. That aside the humans (the ones that weren’t killed off early) escape to a small village where the movie ends but to end on a good note, rebuild humanity.
REALLY!
Okay I don’t thing we will get that far at least not in my life time, but I wouldn’t rule it out. Anything that is thought of in a movie can be created in real life down the road, the human mind is a dangerous thing. Back to AI, early on I saw it being used for evil and to scam people by impersonating others. Then there is people losing their jobs, the laziness of not learning, and the overload of the content. That may all be true, but I also see the good.
How I Use It!
I started using artificial intelligence just to understand it. Then I continued using it for titles and show notes in my videos and podcasts. It then progressed to radio show outlines. Lately I have been using it fine tune my marketing in search results. The running joke is that I now talk to Chat GPT more than my wife, we call her “Chat” for short. Hey my wife’s friend is “Siri”.
Summing It All Up!
All the podcasts I have been listening to confirm I am doing things right. Use artificial intelligence so you understand it. Use it in three ways: as an assistant to help with administrative tasks, as a way to bounce ideas on how to improve, or helping you create stronger content based on your requirements.
I won’t allow artificial intelligence to replace what I want to do or am good at such as being on air in my case. It certainly can help me in the background. So don’t be afraid of artificial intelligence but investigate how it can make you stronger. It’s coming no matter what!
