Before You Press Record: Plan Your Video’s Purpose. Don’t bother creating media if you won’t use it!
Many of our clients have us help them create videos and other forms of content and then we send it off to them and they don’t use it. One you are wasting money having the content created and two it is of no value if not implemented as part of your marketing plan. So how do you fix it?
As a media consultant and creative entrepreneur I am constantly creating media such as video for clients and our own business. In fact our business is focused on just that creating media. As an artist I am creating illustration and art for events. We have a television show which needs monthly content. Our internet radio station has live shows three days per week and our podcast is a daily show.

Most people start with the video creation first instead of the implementation. You need to turn that totally around and begin with the end. Your first question should be what will you do with a video if you create it? For instance if you are planning on promoting an event you may decide you need a video. How will you do that? Where will you post it? What type of video should you make? Where is our audience? When you have those questions answered you can move onto the specifics of the video itself.
Videos cost money and time and if you don’t understand how you will use that video in the future you are wasting money and time. If you don’t know where to put the video, you won’t be effective with the outcome!
