Journaling-The Secret to Being More Creative

AJ Seymour at desk

Journaling is a great way to be more creative! I was never a journaling type of person however I always kept notebooks and sketchbooks of ideas for cartoons, business, and more. Journaling is more than just writing down ideas, but writing down your thoughts, dreams, goals, or other personal thoughts that may interest you.

Many women and girls have been doing this for decades in the form of diaries so this may be secondary information for them but for many men this isn’t normal activity. There are many benefits to journaling such as the process of writing itself, getting ideas out on paper, and a fun way of retaining your thoughts on paper which may turn into creative projects down the road. To give you an idea Taylor Swift is a prolific journal writer and look at the catalogue of songs and career she has created. I created a short video below for you on my thoughts on journaling.

So pick up a pen, get your favourite notebook and start writing. You may be surprised at what it does for your creativity.
