Certainly isn’t just getting the license. We were on the road ten years and part of the reason we stopped driving cross-country was the careless and unprofessional demeanor of so many drivers!

You’re right Marsha,
Usually the first to be blamed is the professional driver, or how many good drivers quit out of frustration like yourselves? However, we do have control over our own actions by being professional in our own right. If a driver is operatiing in a professional manner our image to the public will be changed over time and the real problems on the road will be dealt with. The cell phone issue is now bringing out how many people are texting while they drive. I can barely text sitting still so I cannot image doing that at 60 miles an hour. It all starts from the top of the chain so companies need to start implementing image training into their driver pools.

Hello again Bruce. I agree. The professional driver takes the rap most of the time. I think aside from “some drivers” not acting or appearing professional, the problem is in the companies who put drivers on the road after a couple of weeks training. Oh my gosh, even common courtesy has diminished, let alone driving skills. THIS IS NOT TO CONDEMN all drivers – there are thousands who are carrying the load and performing optimally for the profession. We do miss the sunrise on the desert and the pelting snows across the mountains. I also agree texting is such a ridiculous thing for people to do while driving. I cannot text good either and can’t imagine doing it on the road. Who knows, with the economy as it is, perhaps we may need to hit the road again and give it another shot! The best to you. Be safe.

The industry is an a big flux of change, so hopefully the programming I have will start to hit home with some of these companies. Judging by the services offered on your website you must be incredibly busy. The best way to a stress free lifestyle is to do what you love.
